View:115Another price hike! Cma CKS has imposed new peak season surcharges in Chinaecently, CMA CGM announced on its website that it will impose a new peak season surcharge (PSS) on shipments from China to Africa. Details are as follows:
With effect from 20 May 2024 (loading date), a PSS of US $1.500 /TEU will be levied on dry shipments from North and central China to the northern mountains of West Africa (Liberia, Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Sao Paulo and Principe).
With effect from 15 May 2024 (loading date), a PSS of US $500 /TEU will be levied on dry shipments from the southern China region to the northern mountains of West Africa (Liberia, Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Sao Paulo and Principe).
With effect from 18 May 2024 (loading date), a PSS of US $1.500 /TEU will be levied on dry shipments from the southern China region to the northern mountains of West Africa (Liberia, Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Sao Paulo and Principe).
PSS of USD 1.250 /TEU will be levied on dry cargo from southern China to the central mountains of West Africa (Nigeria, Cote d 'Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Togo, Equatorial Guinea) from May 18. 2024 (loading date).
PSS of USD 1.250 /TEU is levied for dry cargo from central and North China region to the Central mountains of West Africa (Nigeria, Cote d 'Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Togo, Equatorial Guinea) with effect from 20 May 2024 (loading date);
PSS of USD 1.250 /TEU is levied on dry goods from the whole range of China to the southern mountains of West Africa (Angola, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, Gabon, Cameroon).
PSS of USD1.000 per 20 feet and USD2.000 per 40 feet will be levied on dry, refrigerated, over-limit and bulk cargo from Far East (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, China, Macau, China) to Kenya, Tanzania (Dar es Salaam), South Africa from May 20. 2024 (loading date).
PSS of US $500 per 20 feet and US $1.000 per 40 feet for dry, refrigerated, over-limit and bulk cargo from the Far East (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, China, Macau, China) to Mozambique.
In addition to this, CMA CFE will impose a PSS of USD300 /TEU on dry, refrigerated, over-limit and bulk cargo from the Far East (North China, Central China, South China, Hong Kong China, Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia) to Maldives starting from May 15. 2024 (loading date).
