In order to help enterprises do a good job in risk prevention and avoid property losses, relevant international trade enterprises are reminded to pay attention to the following points:

1. Handle import and export procedures in compliance

Some enterprises declare parts in bulk when exporting to Thailand, but the actual goods are assembled parts, which are seized and punished by Thai Customs. Please strictly follow the laws and regulations of Thailand and the requirements of customs and other departments to handle the customs clearance procedures for goods. The classification and declaration information of commodities shall comply with the customs requirements and the actual status of the goods, and the import and export licenses shall be applied for in advance for commodities under special supervision.

2. Do due diligence in advance

Some enterprises purchase raw materials from a foreign company, and after payment, the seller does not deliver the goods on time and loses contact, and later finds that the other party is actually a forged identity and impersonation fraud. Enterprises are requested to fully understand the credit background of their trading partners, especially first-time partners, before carrying out trade; Pay attention to verify the identity of the contact person and the authenticity of the bank account number to avoid property loss. The website of the Department of Business Development of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand can check the name, operation status, and main business of the registered enterprise free of charge. Enterprises can also obtain the required information through the China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, relevant industry associations, law firms and consulting institutions according to their own needs.

3. Do a good job of risk prevention in the process of trade

Carefully conclude a written contract, agree in writing on the goods, price, payment method, liability for breach of contract and treatment, etc., and consult professionals as appropriate; When making payments, use letters of credit, credit insurance and other means to prevent and control risks, and avoid payment to private accounts; Work with reliable freight forwarders; Be cautious against fraud such as the seller changing the consignee of the bill of lading after the shipment. If you suspect that you have encountered trade fraud, you can contact the paying bank as soon as possible to freeze the payment, and report to the police, and consult a professional lawyer if necessary.
