Hapag-lloyd, restart the course! Connecting China, West Africa and Germany

Recently, Hapag-Lloyd announced on its official website that taking into account the customer's cargo plan and the current market development, the company will restart the Sino-German Express CGX in June.


CGX will connect South China, Germany and West Africa. The port of call is as follows: Yantian - Singapore - Tema - Wilhelmshaven - Antwerp


The route was launched on April 1. 2022. but suspended from February 2023. The first voyage is scheduled for 16 June 2024 from Yantian Port to Wilhelmshaven under the name "Express Argentina".


Hapag-lloyd explained that the restart of CGX is to respond to new changes in the current market, expand service network coverage for customers' business, meet customers' needs for shipping space and schedule reliability, and provide efficient and safe services between the Asian, West African and Northern European markets.


Hapag-lloyd also said in the announcement that customers can ship their goods to West African ports such as Abidjan, Lagos, Cotonou, Pointe Noire and Luanda through the Ghanatma port. In Wilhelmshaven, benefits from the port's infrastructure and connectivity, helping to optimise customers' supply chains.
